EPHEMERA AS EDUCATION
Nick's Newsstand is a pop-up library based in San Francisco. It's an evolving archive of magazines, zines, and printed matter collected for their visual language, cultural context, and design systems.
This project exists at the intersection of research and curation, treating ephemera as primary sources for understanding how type, layout, and material choices shaped subcultural movements, consumer aesthetics, and design ideology across decades.
Full zine scans aren’t displayed online, this catalog serves mainly as my personal archive and reference index. Each entry includes selected spreads or details for context, but the full issues can only be viewed or scanned in person during research days.
